Thanks to volunteers the ASFVL is able to offer free guided tours of the old town and guided visits to the chapels of Saint Ferréol with its small museum of sacred art and Notre-Dame de Ben-Va (a classified Historical Monument). The tours are usually in French, but English-language tours can be arranged.

During July and August there are regular visits (see below). But please see our news page for the most up-to-date information. At other times they can be booked through the ASFVL or the Tourist Office at a cost of 5€ per person, 8€ for a family, free for under 18s. Groups: 3€ per person.

Old town

Free guided tours on Wednesdays in July and August, starting from the Tourist Office at 9:00. Places should be reserved in advance at the Tourist Office or through the ASFVL.

Chapels of Saint Ferréol and Notre-Dame de Ben-Va

Open during the summer (July and August) at 10.00 and 11h every Thursday.

Caution : be sure the Saint-Ferréol site is open (look at the web site mairie de Lorgues or Préfecture du Var) : in case of red or orange fire alert, le site is not open and there are no visits.

Discovery tours

The ASFVL has produced a number of information leaflets: the old town; the chapels and churches; the fountains. The leaflets (available in French, English and German) can be obtained from the Tourist Office and consist of a map with information and photos about the places of interest. European Heritage Days

Free visits to the chapels of Saint Ferréol and Ben-Va and guided tours of the old town are organised on the European Heritage Days in September: Saturdays 10h-12h and 15h-17h, Sundays 15h-17h. For information on exact dates, visit the news section of this website or consult the Tourist Office.
